Creatures who can look after themselves for
     months?
Self contained eco systems are the ultimate indulgence!

Available from Molecule, Marina Square

6339 0928

S$ 218.00 and S$ 788.00
Contains between two and twelve bright red shrimp that are native to the Hawaiian islands.
They are housed in medium to large sized spheres as well as in egg-shaped versions.
The algae - in the presence of light - produce oxygen and are food for the shrimp whose waste, in turn, provides nutrients for the algae.
The shrimp can grow to about 1 cm in length and have an average lifespan of five years.

Ig's Heaven
CityLink Mall & Parkway Parade

6238 7943
Big enough for fifteen ants, which have a lifespan of about 6 months.
You need to catch your own carpenter or worker ants (the large black ones with powerful jaws and a nasty bite, which live in colonies). These are the only ants that dig, and are found outdoors where they build their nests in dry, sandy grass patches.
Reusable, as long as the gel (which cannot be topped up) remains.

Relaxation factor : watching ants dig intricate
    tunnels.

S$ 44.95 for a plastic tank 13.5 cm x 8.5 cm x 3.5 cm
