Craving the sea breeze but tired of the lounging? Singapore’s Nestopia is the perfect solution, satisfying all expectations for the adventurous. Maitreyi Sanadhya offers a quick dekko into the experience.
Where
A short walk from Siloso Point on Sentosa, the Shangri-La hotel’s brand-new outdoor playground contains over 17 play sections and two of the longest slides in Sentosa.
What
Nestopia caters for outdoor-loving adults and children alike. The entire playspace lies suspended over the beach and offers picturesque views of the island. The playground is always supervised by helpful staff in case adults wish to leave children there and enjoy a cocktail in the nearby hotel. A nearby family-friendly restaurant – Trapizza offers lunch, readily available !
Pricing
Previous customers have reviewed the pricing as reasonable – tickets are cheaper for hotel guests, with prices as low as $10 for an hour and $15 for two. The public has to pay slightly more, and prices are $15 for an hour and $25 for two, however, one adult and child entry is included in the ticket price – additional adults cost $10.
Keep in Mind …
- The age restriction means that no child under 5 years of age may visit Nestopia.
- Since the playground is completely outdoors, sunscreen and water is a must!
- Opening hours run from 11.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m. on weekdays and 9.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m. on weekends, so an ideal time to visit is around sunset, where the weather is cooler and the climbing frames do not get hot.
