Among the listed top 10 'must try' foods, check out Hainanese Chicken Rice, Satay (beef or chicken), Roti Prata (a sure fire favourite - options include egg or cheese pratas, and spicy and milder versions with curry), Char Kway Teow and Fried Carrot Cake.

"Makan Delights - An Insider's Guide to Singapore's Unique Flavours" lists all the 'Must-Try' dishes and local favourites. Copies in English, Chinese, Japanese and Bahasa Indonesia are available at the Changi Airport, Singapore Visitor Centres, at tourist attractions and hotels.
